Web Site DesignWeb Site Design is the process of taking your ideas, text, and graphics and formatting them for viewing on the World Wide Web.

There are several web site design criteria that are critically influence the quality of your site. Among these are speed, color, aesthetics, content, intuitiveness and other factors.

How the Process Works:
The web site design process can be divided into three distinct areas:

  1. Content Acquisition
  2. Integration
  3. Testing and Optimization

Of these, content acquisition is by far the most important and comprehensive from your perspective.  Integration and testing is primarily 1st Scribe's responsibility.

Initially, a 1st Scribe sales representative will visit your facility to learn all he/she can about your business and specifics of you web site requirements.

Content Acquisition: Next comes the process of Content Acquisition. This task involves working with the customer and gathering all of the information necessary or relevant to the building of your web site. There are several distinct but related processes of content acquisition.  Click here to go into more detail.

Integration: This process wraps it all together, creating directory structures as necessary, transferring all files to their final hosting site, and testing and debugging all links and other functionality.   This is the responsibility of 1st Scribe.

Testing and Optimization: This last process involves testing the site on many different browsers such as Microsoft's Internet Explorer and Netscape's browsers, as well as different versions of each browser. In addition, sites are tested under a variety of platforms and settings. For example, many sites that may look fine on an IBM system with 64K colors loaded and high resolution will look dramatically different under a Macintosh system with only 256 colors loaded with low resolution. Again, this is the responsibility of 1st Scribe.

Our team knows the complexities of developing cross platform web sites and incorporate this knowledge into the development of the site from the start. The result is a site that performs and looks great regardless of browser and platform.

1st Scribe aims to establish an on-going relationships with our customers. In a world where rapidly changing technology is part of the equation, our commitment to the customer’s future is an integral part of our service.
