Jason Barney
Technical Director

Jason started as a programmer for First Scribe before he graduated from the University of Minnesota. Since November 2001 he has been our go-to-guy when the going gets technical. As Technical Director he selects and manages technologies, both at the development and service level, to fulfill our ever changing needs.

Jason’s specific responsibilities include:

Management of development team.
Assists in strategic sales efforts from a technical perspective.
Maintaining company infrastructure including web, email, and database servers.
Gather requirements, create specifications, design, and implement custom web based applications.
Develop, configure, and customize shopping carts and other open source software to meet customer requirements.
Developing templates, style sheets (css), and JavaScript
Provide internal and external IT support including troubleshooting, backups,browser/client specific issues, software, and hardware.

He spends his free time working out, hanging out with friends and family, reading, cooking, watching films, swimming, exploring local restaurants, and playing poker/video games.
