Tragedy of the Bunnies
The Tragedy of the Bunnies Game is a simple game about an important social
dilemma that has worried generations of thinkers, from philosophers
to biologists.
Valuable resources to which many people have access – resources like oceans, forests, and elephants – are commonly called "common pool" resources. Because overuse of common pool resources can destroy the resource, people have a long-term incentive to use the resource in moderation. However, people also have short-term incentive to exploit the resource as much as possible. When lots of people scramble to "get while the getting is good," the results can be tragic.

- Flash Design
The Tragedy of the Bunnies game was completed in July, 2004. This was designed in Flash for the Institute of Humane Studies a division of George Mason University. It was built for students to test ways to attain, use and manage resources. It teaches valuable lessons in a fun way about the Tragedy of the Commons which is a well-known phenomenon to environmentalists and economists.
