jQuery User Interface

jQuery is a cross-browser JavaScript library designed to enhance the user interface functions within HTML pages. jQuery is designed to make it easier to navigate, create animations, handle mouse events and show imagery.

From a development perspective, we can integrate more functionality, motion, and AJAX into a page with less effort. From a visitor's perspective, you get to grab, click, drag and move content in a way that was not easily accomplished before - certainly not outside of a Flash-based application (or similar).

jQuery allows us to build sites that are similar in interaction to Flash but we don't require a plugin or specific browser for it to work.
