iPad Web Design

iPad

Just as the iPod™ changed the way we listen to music, the iPhone™ushered in an era of "smart phones", and the iPad™ appears to finally crack the code for the tablet.

The iPad is primarily designed for consumption of media such as books and periodicals but it essentially functions in much the same way as a gigantic iPod touch, or a large iPhone (without the calling features). A visitor can read books, play games, and browse the Internet.

There are currently 2 versions of the iPad available - one is Wi-Fi only and the other also includes a 3G Mobile Data card for portable data without being bound by a land line. Media and critics have been largely neutral to the device although there is a vocal fan base on the increase. We don't see a large volume of visits from the iPad collective but we expect the numbers to grow in this area as more applications become available.

Web design for the iPad falls into the same categorical rules as the iPhone. There's not need to worry about the screen size but you must remember to control for rich media type such as Flash.
