The Google SiteSearch™ software is literally the Google search engine compressed down to search only your website. The search bar looks like your website and the results page looks like someone placed Google inside a frame in your template. Visitors can mentally bridge the gap between the usability of your site and the search results.

How does it work?

Google SiteSearch is a paid service with software that resides on their servers. Your content is on your hosting point and Google SiteSearch is configured to search your content and only return results from your site.It can be configured to search only specific parts of the website, which is handy if you have secure directories behind a login form.

The integration to your website is complete, down to tracking use of the search tool in your analytics. We often run Omniture analytics reports on internal search terms so that we can fill any content gaps and update navigation issues.
