Bing's Crystal Ball?
Bing is taking a crack at fortune telling – at least when it comes to reality shows that are driven by public voting.
Bing announced a new feature yesterday that analyzes search and social trends to determine the public’s collective opinion on a contestant and uses that information to make predictions about the outcome of the television show. This same logic could also apply to larger questions like election outcomes.
How accurate will it be? It’s impossible to say at this point. But as a Minneapolis company, we certainly hope that it’s spot on because it still has hometown girl Kat Perkins in the running.
